Canyon Walls Rose Triptych: Med Plus P09183-P00096 dense forests of Northern CaliforniaThis triptych is made of 85 percent abaca fiber handmade paper. When the pieces are dry they are painted with gesso on all sides to seal the paper. Fired and patina copper is adhered to the paper and a joint compound mixture is spread on the bottom 2 3 of the piece below the metal to form the cracked surface. After the surface dries, it is carefully sanded and the top 1 4 of the Joint compound is stained with a thin wash of black paint. Encaustic is
