as well as a black paper backer
Germany, Third Reich. A Fire Brigade Honour Decoration, II Class Republic of 37 (h) and weighing 30(Reichsfeuerwehr Ehrenzeichen II. Klasse). Instituted 22 June 1936 by Wilhelm Frick. (1936 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse joined through the quadrants with a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM FEUERLSCHWESEN (FOR MERIT IN FIRE FIGHTING), with white enameled arms overlaid by stylized flames,
