Three raised ventilation holes are evenly distributed across the circumference of the exterior, which presents plain with the exception of a peak insignia. Constructed of brass, the insignia consists of a number 22 in Roman numerals, set within a disc with a ribbed border, on top of crossed rifles, and topped by a Savoy style crown. The insignia
